I am a National Executive Recruiter that specializes in the
Healthcare Industry. Our main focus is working with licensed
Pharmacists in all settings. However, at our clients’
request, we will conduct searches for Physical Therapists,
Occupational Therapists, and other professionals in the
Healthcare Industry. Additionally, we accept job orders in
field management and corporate procurement and merchandising
on the Director, Regional, and Vice President level within
the Healthcare Industry for positions that do not require a
licensed professional.
In the late 1990’s, I was trained as an Executive Search
Consultant and was appointed the Chicago Branch Manager of a
National Executive Search Firm before I started my own
business. Unlike some of my competitors who went into
business without any prior training, I had a proven,
successful track record of conducting and executing search
assignments; I took the Chicago Office from the lowest rank
to the most profitable branch in the company in two years.
I started my own business because I had a concrete
concept of how I wanted to conduct business, which deviated
from the stereotypical prototype. I named my company SELECT
A SEARCH, INC. and developed a business model based on the
fact that each potential Client company has unique needs and
methods for staffing their vacant positions.
Out of all the searches I have researched and conducted,
the Pharmacy Industry presents the most difficult set of
challenges comprised of a shortage of professionals, an
academic talent pool with a unique personality profile that
includes an avoidance of changing jobs, if there is a
certain comfort level. Surfacing a qualified Staff
Pharmacist or a Director of Pharmacy, who is not solely
motivated by short-term monetary gain, requires a deep
commitment, experience and skill, knowledge of the market,
and an understanding of the candidate profile,…and sometimes
(depending on the geographical location of the position) a
perseverance beyond normal comprehension! This is one
Industry that has attracted many novices to the Search
profession based on the low supply versus the heavily
weighted demand. A Pharmacy Job Order is easy to obtain, but
how many search firms produce? I maintain consistent
performance records of 95% of the Candidates presented to
clients are successfully hired.
"Our
greatest value to our clients is our ability to
cut the hiring time in half and to fill the
positions with superior candidates.
